Steps for CA Articleship Procedure Under CA New Course
If you intend to start the CA Articleship registration process, adhere to following detailed guidance to ensure a seamless completion:
Step 1: Go to the Articleship Menu
Go to the "Articleship Menu" after logging into your student portal. You can choose between the Articleship Deed Form and the Auditship Deed Form by clicking on the "Articleship" button.
Step 2: Complete the Articleship Deed Document
Choose the Articleship Deed Form option to start the registration process. It will be necessary for you to select the official start date of your articleship. Click "Get Details" to confirm the details after entering the Membership Number of the CA Member or Paid Assistant who will act as your Principal.
After verification, select the firm where you will be undergoing your Articleship and enter the date of execution of the deed. Once all details are filled in, click on “Submit.” Download the generated deed in PDF format, take a printout, and execute it on the required stamp paper. Ensure that a scanned copy of the duly signed deed is kept ready for upload. If any corrections are needed, use the Edit Application option before proceeding further.

Examine the personal data that is shown on the screen carefully. Use the Profile Change Form in your student portal to update any differences you find. To proceed, enter the required information and click "Next."
Step 4: Confirm Educational Background and CA Course Specifics
Examine the details of your academic qualifications that are shown on the screen after verifying your personal information. Click "Next" to continue if the information is correct. You can use the Profile Change Form to make any necessary updates.
The specifics of your CA course will then be displayed. Before selecting "Next" once more, carefully check each entry and make any required changes
Step 5: Examine Past Records of Articleships or Audits
At this point, the relevant information will show if you have already registered for an articleship or auditship. Click "Next" to proceed after carefully reviewing and verifying the information.
Step 6: List Additional Professional or Academic Obligations
After that, you will be required to disclose any additional business ventures, jobs, or educational pursuits you may have throughout your articleship. Choose "Yes" or "No" as appropriate. Step 7: Final Verification of Principal’s Details
At this stage, the details of your Principal/CA Member under whom you will undergo Articleship will be displayed. Carefully verify all the information. Once confirmed, select the “I Agree” checkbox and click “Submit” to proceed.
Step 8: Approval by the CA Member
After submission, your CA Member (Principal) must log in to their portal and review the registration request under the “Forms for Approval” section. The registration process will move forward only after the member grants approval.
Step 9: Upload Executed Documents and Complete Payment
Once the form is approved by your Principal, download the PDF copies of the Articleship Deed (Form 102) and the Articleship Registration Form (Form 103). Get these documents duly signed by the CA Member. CA Articleship Termination/Completion
You are formally registered for Articleship under the specified CA Member as soon as the regional office approves your registration request. You can access a number of forms pertaining to the conclusion or termination of your articleship after approval. Forms for taking additional classes, conducting extra business, requesting a secondment, making requisitions, and notifying the principal of changes in status are also accessible (this option is only available if you are registered under a paid assistant).
Simultaneously, the CA Member maintains continuous access to various forms for students under their supervision. Articleship Termination, Articleship Completion, Auditship Termination, Auditship Completion, and Industrial Training Completion or Termination forms are among them.
CA Articleship Registration Eligibility
Under the new CA scheme, students must clear both groups of the CA Intermediate examination and complete the ICITSS training to be eligible for Articleship. ICAI has introduced several positive reforms in the Articleship structure, allowing students to focus better on their future examination attempts while gaining practical exposure.
CA Articleship Duration
According to the updated framework, a two-year training term under a practicing chartered accountant is now required for CA Articleship. Students might choose between nine and twelve months of industrial training after this time.
One of the major changes under the new scheme is the reduction of Articleship duration from three years to two years, enabling students to qualify as Chartered Accountants at an earlier stage. Additionally, students become eligible to register for the CA Final examination after completing six months of practical training.
Structure of CA Articleship Stipends
ICAI has raised the Articleship stipend by 100% in accordance with the revised course requirements, providing students with better financial assistance during their training period.
Regulations for CA Articleship
The new rules state that students are not obliged to take any exams while they in an articleship. Additionally, ICAI has set annual leave limitations of 12 days, with a total cap of 24 days for the duration of the Articleship.
Important Information Following CA Intermediate:
It is important to distinguish between CA Final registration and CA Articleship registration. Although CA Articleship registration is free, if it is not finished within 30 days of commencement, there will be a late fee. Before taking the CA Final test, Articleship registration must be finished.
Students should create a polished and organized résumé, ideally after consulting mentors or seasoned experts. A CV must be truthful and accurate because any false information can damage one's credibility.
Do extensive research on reputable companies and organizations in the field before submitting an application. Steer clear of inappropriate activities like sending out resumes at random via LinkedIn direct messages. Rather, be aware of walk-in interviews and prepare appropriately for them.
Additionally, candidates should approach HR professionals via formal email, attach an updated resume, and follow up politely after a week if no response is received.
