All applicants must rigorously follow the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's (ICAI) 2026 CA Final Eligibility Criteria. Before completing the exam form, candidates who intend to apply for the CA Final exam are recommended to carefully review the eligibility requirements in order to prevent any issues down the road.
Only applicants who have successfully completed the CA Intermediate level are permitted to sit for the CA Final test, according the criteria.
The updated ICAI scheme will be used to administer the 2026 CA Final Exams. Candidates must thus make sure that the eligibility standards specified in this revised framework are met. Three times a year, the ICAI administers the CA Final, the last and most difficult exam in the Chartered Accountancy program.

Candidates must pass the CA Intermediate (IPCC) level before they may enroll in the CA Final course. To be eligible for the Intermediate exam, students must receive at least 40% in each subject and a total of 50% in one or both groups.
The three phases of the chartered accountancy curriculum are Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. Only after completing the previous step successfully may one advance to the next level. However, qualified applicants may skip the Foundation level and enroll directly in the Intermediate course in accordance with specific guidelines established by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

To be eligible for the CA Final test in September 2026, you must complete the Advanced ICITSS.
According to Regulation 31(ii), applicants who have moved from the Final (Old Course) to the Final (New Course) and have taken the Final (Old Course) exam at least once are exempt from taking the Advanced ICITSS before taking the exam in September 2026. Prior to submitting an application for ICAI membership, these candidates still need to finish the course.
The CA Final exam is offered for registration all year round. The validity period is ten years after registration. Candidates have the option to extend their registration for an additional ten years after this time. Interestingly, CA Final registration has no set deadlines. Candidates should, however, wait at least six months between finishing their hands-on training and sitting for the test. Candidates must fill out the CA Final exam form online in order to take the test. This application form must be completed by anyone planning to take the test.
