CA May 2026 Exam Pattern
The CA exam consists of both descriptive responses and multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Every paper is worth 100 points and takes three hours to complete. Thirty percent of the one hundred questions are multiple-choice questions, seventy percent are descriptive, and there is no negative grading.
ICAI CA May 2026 Passing Criteria
For ICAI examinations, the passing criteria require students to obtain a minimum of 40% in each paper and an overall 50% aggregate in that group. ICAI also provides a beneficial exemption rule: if a candidate scores 60% or above in any paper, that paper is treated as cleared for the next three attempts. This allows the student to focus only on the remaining papers in future attempts without repeating the one in which they scored 60%+.
The exam forms for the ICAI May 2026 attempt will open in March 2026. Students can submit their forms up to mid-March without any late fee, after which ICAI provides a short extended window with late fees for those who miss the regular deadline. Once the form-submission period ends, ICAI also offers a three-day correction window, during which candidates can make changes to details already filled in. All students must complete the process online through the ICAI portal, where they are required to carefully confirm their exam center, group selection, and medium of the exam before final submission.
ICAI CA May 2026 Admit Card and Result
Two weeks prior to the April 2026 exam date, the CA admit card is made available. Students must log in to the official ICAI website in order to download their admission card. The May 2026 findings are anticipated in June 2026 and are typically announced 45 days after the final paper is completed. Students can use their PIN and roll number to view the results online.
